Niki is a lifelong musician with over 20 years of learning, playing, and performing, and nearly a decade of teaching music. She is a homeschool graduate who has a BS in Psychology and Music from Indiana Wesleyan University, study abroad music ed/therapy experience in Jamaica with State University of New York-Potsdam, and a Master of Education degree from Liberty University. Niki was awarded the 2023 Ohio Music Teachers Association Teacher Scholarship, allowing her to earn her Board Certified Cognitive Specialist (BCCS) credential from IBCCES. She's currently a member of Keyboard Teachers Association and Greater Cincinnati Guitar Society.
Niki started her formal music journey when she was 6 on piano, later switched to guitar and choir when she was 12, then to trombone and choral conducting in high school. Some of her notable accomplishments pre-college included being assistant principal trombonist for Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra, student ministry worship leader at her church, one of 12 students selected to attend the Boston University Tanglewood Institute summer trombone workshop, and a 6x superior rating pianist and 2x honors performer for OMTASW Auditions Festivals.
In her spare time, Niki enjoys reading fiction, crocheting, taking cello lessons, being with friends and family, and exploring libraries and museums.
